Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) will be greatly impacted when Bobby Crawford (Jack Carroll) of Coronation Street abruptly recalls a crucial clue about Lauren Bolton’s (Cait Fitton) abduction the next week.

In upcoming scenes, the rookie to the ITV soap opera will confess that he has concealed certain information from the police looking into Lauren’s alleged “murder,” which might clear leading suspect Roy Cropper (David Neilson).

Bobby is given some food for thought, and the patrons of the café start conversing about his situation.

As they make their way to the police station for more interrogation, DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) tells him that it is illegal to obstruct the course of justice and that he must provide all relevant information.

He breaks down in front of her, revealing that the burglar he saw in Lauren’s apartment was dressed in a black coat with fur at the collar and a balaclava.

After hearing Bobby’s altered statement, Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney) informs the locals that she once saw a coat much like it at the precinct’s charity store.

It has been sold when her mother Evelyn (Maureen Lipman) goes to look into it, but some other clothing from the same donation is still there, and one of them has a name tag.

Later that night, DS Swain contacts Daniel at the builder’s yard flat to inform him that fresh evidence has surfaced and he must report to the station.

Is it possible that Daniel killed Lauren?

Abi Webster (Sally Carman-Duttine), after accusing Max Turner (Paddy Bever) of reporting him, admits who was actually at fault.

The guys pursue Bobby to the precinct after arriving at the factory to confront him about not telling him about Daniel’s participation. There, they discover him having a meeting with an old friend, Nicky Wheatley (Kimberley Hart-Simpson).

Bobby is informed by Max that Nicky used to be a prostitute and that something fishy is happening.
