Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) and Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) are about to start dating, but how will it affect her new position at rival business Fabian’s?
In recent episodes, fans of the long-running ITV soap opera have seen the breakdown of their professional relationship when she took the lead in a crucial meeting with customer Rich Pemberton (Jamie Cho), landing herself a lucrative job at his business.
After a heated fight, she made the brave choice to quit Barlow Legal because she was tired of feeling disrespected there.
Adam contacted No. 6 to apologise after Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) mocked him for his behaviour with their legal secretary, but she was having none of it and threatened to file an employment tribunal.
When he subsequently discovered that he had attempted to lure one of their important customers back to his business, he became enraged.
When Alya phones the lawyers for a client file in later scenes, she finds Adam finding it difficult to handle the burden without her.
Dee-Dee suggested that they stop working together on any collaborative projects with Fabian, calling him petty and telling him to resume his job.
When Rich and Alya meet with Adam later in the day, he’s surprised to hear that she’s accepted a job in Dublin.
He seems to be making an effort to impress her as he hands them a case summary; the two grin but soon avert their eyes.
Adam confesses his affections for her while they collaborate on a case, and they kiss just before Rich stops by to witness the moment!
