Liam Mccheyne has won acclaim for his role in the show
Liam Mccheyne of Coronation Street received a tonne of support after sharing a unique career update.
The long-running soap opera star has received praise for his depiction of Dylan Wilson. The actor has been the focus of a difficult plot in which Mason Radcliffe, the bully, attacked Liam Connor, causing his mental health to spiral out of control.
Charlie Wrenshall, who plays Liam in the programme, has also garnered praise for his performance in handling a delicate plot point. Liam and Charlie have been recognised for their achievements as they are finalists for the Radio Times Soaps Awards’ Best Young Performer category.
“I would just like to take the opportunity to thank the editorial team at Radio Times for nominating both myself and @charliewrenshallofficial for the Best Young Performer category for this year’s Radio Times soap award,” Liam said on social media after making the news.
He declared: “We are both really happy about this, and it means the world to us both. Watch for the opening of voting on May 13. Love and light to all of you.”
Luca Toolan, who plays Mason in the performance, offered encouragement by saying, “Well done, lads. Bring some cutlery with you.”
