Emmerdale fans say ‘it’s not your fault’ to Rhona following shock death

When Rhona Goskirk of Emmerdale learned that Lucy had passed away unexpectedly in the most recent episode, she was saddened, and viewers expressed their sympathy by stating, “It’s not your fault.”

Fans of Emmerdale were shocked to learn of the death of a prominent figure, which devastated Zoe Henry’s character Rhona Goskirk.

On the ITV soap opera, Rhona has been at the focus of a major plot point as she tends to her husband Marlon Dingle, who is recuperating from a stroke, and handles the return of her ex-husband Gus.

Earlier this year, Rhona was shocked to learn that Gus still had their frozen embryos, which she had assumed had been destroyed. With his new girlfriend Lucy, who was in severe need of a child, he planned to utilise them.

It was recently discovered that Gus had returned to the hamlet and had used Rhona’s passport to get access to the embryos that had been kept there years earlier. When Rhona found out that Lucy was carrying one of these embryos, she was frightened since it meant that the child was both biologically her and Gus’.

She went to Gus’s home in an attempt to confront him after he failed to show up for the scheduled meeting.

Unaware of her whereabouts, Marlon and Mary were anxiously frightened in the bar. But then she phoned to tell them she had begun having contractions and was on her way to the hospital with Gus and Lucy. Marlon hurried to be with her right away, obviously concerned about her handling of events. When he learned that Lucy had given birth early, he was astounded.

Gus said that Lucy had been hurried into surgery while the infant was in critical care. When they all learned the tragic news that Lucy had died, Rhona speculated that it may be because the strain of giving birth had resulted in a tear.

Before yelling, Gus told Rhona and Marlon what had transpired. “Why are you even here? She went into labour because of you… Still, you kept bugging us. You alone are to blame for it. The baby wasn’t supposed to be hers. She was unprepared. You took her life.”

Viewers shared their opinions on the programme on X, formerly known as Twitter. One user wrote: “Rhona, it’s not your fault. It’s not your fault. Another said, “Rhona, my friend, did you forget Gus didn’t turn up to the meeting and that you caught them looking like they were making a run for it? You didn’t kill her #Emmerdale.”

“No Gus you’re wrong, Rhona didn’t kill Lucy,” said a third, and “This has to be the cruellest storyline ever,” stated a fourth. Sadly, Rhona.
