Who’s going to sweep Glenda off her feet?

Jodie Prenger, a cast member of Coronation Street, claims that her character, Rovers barmaid Glenda Shuttleworth, is in search of love!

Glenda has not given a damn about being single since moving to Weatherfield. She’s keeping herself occupied at the bar and in her theatrical courses at Little Big Shotz.

However, Jodie, who portrays the former cruise ship singer on Coronation Street, claims that Glenda secretly yearns for love!

Dreaming big

Glenda told us, “She likes to dream big and she is a dreamer.” She mentions cruise ships, but I believe she just wants to settle down. I think that’s the problem. She adores having George and Eileen as part of her family. With the lot at number 11, there is a beautiful dynamic.

She continues, saying, “She really just wants someone to love her.”

Glenda is so overjoyed to be put in charge of the Rovers’ speed-dating event as Daisy and Jenny are both preoccupied!

Jodie chuckles, “She loves the speed dating.” “She would make it a men-only gathering and require everyone to date her exclusively! She seizes the opportunity. She enjoys throwing it. She is just returning to her passion. She takes pleasure in getting everyone moving and ensuring that they are all having a wonderful time. She is also ecstatic that there will be single men present!

Terrifying ordeal!

The bad news for Glenda, however, is that the Rovers are broken into later in the evening, and she is directly targeted.

Without a question, Jodie adds, “it was one of the scariest things I’ve ever shot in my career.” “That’s what happens, we all go to the kitchen for a drink of water, but then she notices something, enters the bar, and is completely shocked. to see someone breaking into your house, your personal area, or any place you are supposed to defend.

“The two guys who portrayed the robbers were excellent. It was quite atmospheric, and they looked menacing. really dramatic! Not joking, I was really afraid. It was very cleverly constructed, with glass all over the place and bats playing a part.

That seems really dramatic!

Putting on a face

But even though Glenda is afraid, she gets back up and continues.

Jodie says, “My mum and my grandma never let the face drop no matter how tired they were. My family used to run hotels in Blackpool.” That reminds me a lot of Glenda. She won’t acknowledge that the event has affected her, so she will fake a grin.

But sadly—and not unexpectedly—Glenda’s expertise is wearing thin.

Jodie says, “She has a lot of breathing issues and anxiety.” It has an impact on her. She believes that she has failed the squad.
